Previous research carried out by the European Commission has found that older adults can play an active role in society and are an important resource with the ability to assist in the solving of social problems. This particular book has the aim of assisting in the implementation of formal policies, with the foundation of recognising older adults as an invaluable creative force. The methodologies through which older adults become active are studied, and previous schemes which have proved sucessful are analysed.
